Privacy Policy of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Portugal (CCISP)

As it is generally known, the Regulation 2016/679, approved on 27 April 2016 and with effect from 25 May 2018, designated as the General Regulation on Data Protection ("GRDP"), defines the new regime of legal protection of personal data, creating new obligations and responsibilities for all public and private entities, establishing a new special legal regime for the processing of personal data. CCISP has implemented appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse, alteration or destruction. All employees of CCISP follow a network security policy. Only authorized employees of CCISP have access to personal data, who are under the obligation of confidentiality.
This Privacy Policy document has as main goal to inform our users about the data we collect when they use this website and the use we make of them.


The Privacy Policy has as main objective to inform our users about the data we collect and the use we make of them. This text contains important information about the privacy and security systems adopted by the Swiss-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Câmara de Comércio e Indústria Suíça em Portugal, CCISP). The use of the website is subject to CCISP’s Privacy Policy, so please read carefully and completely this text to verify whether you agree with it or not.
The privacy policy which follows applies to all services available through the website of CCISP. It is susceptible to complete or partial change and/or update of how personal data and other information deemed necessary is collected. 1. What information is collected about users?
The CCISP can collect the following information from users of its website: name, phone number (mobile, home or work), postal address (home or work), email address (private or work), date of birth , general information to fill in satisfaction questionnaires.

The data collected are aimed for achieving goals strictly related to the use of this website and/or services of the CCISP.
Generally, the information requested from users of our website is utilized for providing the following services available online:
• Becoming a member of the CCISP to take advantage of the services we offer;
• Subscription to the service of sending the monthly JOURNAL and other informational publications related to similar activities and promotions;
• Contact with users requesting support services from the CCISP;
• Notification of important changes to the functionality of the website;
• Communication of information about products and services of the CCISP or its members;
• Conducting surveys and questionnaires for statistical purposes;
• Conducting direct marketing campaigns and advertising.
Any personal data of the users of the website CCISP can never be disclosed to third parties either for commercial purposes or otherwise, unless you give us explicitly consent to do so or we are required by authorities or required by law to lawsuits, criminal investigation or court order. We may also provide anyone’s information who threatens the interests of the CCISP (as in cases of fraud by a user) or who develop activities that may cause harm to others.
The user may at any time freely exercise its right to cancel the subscription of the monthly JOURNAL, by simply clicking the link "Unsubscribe" which is part of all editions or via email. He can also inform the CCISP (by e-mail to: info@camsuica.com) about changes, corrections, amendments and/or updates of its subscriber data.

3. Safety of the data supplied by users
The CCISP uses a secure online technology and is continuously update its IT infrastructure in order to provide the best possible security to its users.
We have adopted security measures that are sufficient to reduce the risk of data loss or destruction - even accidental - to a minimum, to prevent unauthorized access, illicit types of processing and processing that is not in accordance with the objectives of obtaining data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
However, the CCISP cannot guarantee its users that the security measures taken to protect the website, data transmission and data information on the site, limit or exclude any kind of risk of unauthorized access or dispersion of data. However, we advise users to check if their computers are equipped with appropriate software to protect the transmission of data over the network, both on entry and exit (eg updated antivirus programs) and if the respective providers of internet services have adopted equally appropriate security measures to protect the transmission of data over the internet (such as firewall and antispam filters).
In addition to security systems the CCISP ensures the protection of personal user data, by using security procedures and technical and physical restrictions for accessing and using personal information. Only authorized employees are permitted to access personal information so they can perform their duties relating to our services.
Our server and network are protected by a "firewall" against unauthorized access and we have intrusion detection systems that monitor and detect (attempts to) unauthorized access to or misuse of our servers.

4. Legislation
This Privacy Policy is governed by Portuguese law and, in particular, the code that governs the protection of personal data (Legislative Decree no. 196, June 30, 2003), which regulates the processing of data. The code ensures that the processing of personal data must be conducted in accordance with the rights and fundamental freedoms and the dignity of the person, with particular reference to confidentiality, personal identity and the right of protection of personal data.
